Challenges of cloud computing in mobile apps
Limited Resources: Mobile devices are small in size and do not have enough capacity for more storage along with the power to run additional storage. Computations are offloaded to save the handling of mobile, battery capacity, mobile CPU, etc. When it comes to the reliability and security of the device, a decision has to be made on whether to use the cloud services or not.
Insufficient Network Bandwidth: The issue for data transferring through the internet can be decided through the availability of a wireless or wired connection. Old-school internet devices are used in many places which have to change. These outdated devices are unreliable, less transmissible than the faster networks and devices. Other disadvantages over this are the improper storage of data due to excess utilization of limited resources, delay in performing execution, and rare on-air connectivity of the devices.
Latent approach to Internet compatibility: Cloud services for proper functioning need a spontaneous interactive response and efficient use of energy. A negligent approach towards these factors can lead to restricted access to cloud space. Wireless connectivity is used for connecting Cloud, and the internet should have a proper channel for that procedure. High-speed Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is used to access and is preferred to have efficient functioning and interactive response.
Heterogenic Technologies: The connectivity of the internet and cloud platform should be strong under the connectivity platform in times of access. There is no proper management of wireless communication due to the reason that every mobile will have a different data structure and technologies like WCDMA, GPRS, WLAN, etc., to hold the information. The on-demand data provision becomes a doubted possibility in this concept.
Offloading and Efficiency in Data Access: As mentioned above, mobile devices are structured for an effective offloading process. Though it gives importance to saving and conserving battery life, efficiency in data access is not possible as the cost of cloud services is high to perform. The flexibility approach in terms of cost management is not possible in the cloud service area.
Cloud computing is a great invention in terms of saving the files of many people. Cloud computing, has a great advantage but is coupled with demerits as well. Mobile Computing easy access is being undertaken as research by many companies and institutions to promote customer convenience.
